Instructions
1. Prepare text
To be able to use this converter, prepare the text you would like to convert to captions. Make sure each caption is written on a separate line and separate blocks of captions by a double new line.
For example:
This is the first caption line.
This is the second caption line
and this the third.
This is the fourth caption line
which appears later in the video.
2. Add timing
To make sure your text appears at the right time in the video, you need to specify the start time for each block before the first line of this block. This should be in this format: hh:mm:ss (h = hour, m = minute, s = second).
For example:
00:00:10
This is the first caption line.
This is the second caption line
and this the third.
00:02:55
This is the fourth caption line
which appears later in the video.
3. Convert text to captions
Copy your text and timings into the text to caption converter and click the "convert" button. The output for our example is:
1
00:00:10,000 --> 00:00:11,000
This is the first caption line.
2
00:00:12,000 --> 00:00:13,000
This is the second caption line
3
00:00:13,010 --> 00:00:14,010
and this the third.
4
00:02:55,000 --> 00:02:56,000
This is the fourth caption line
5
00:02:56,010 --> 00:02:57,010
which appears later in the video.
In case no output is provided after clicking the convert button, check whether you put all instructions mentioned here into practice, your Internet connection is working, and your browser allows JavaScript.
4. Upload captions
Copy the output of the converter. Upload it to, for example, YouTube. You can also store it in a text file which you can import in your video or platform.
